Springtime weather is so unpredictable...one day

it's almost HOT the next day it's FREEZING!

On the nice days, 

I grab the opportunity to take

nature walks on our farm...

Our plastic crow decoy survived another 

winter perched on this old fence post!

Studio rabbit lurking from the bushes,

April shower bring May flowers...and hoping for carrots too!

The back seam creates a zig~zag design!

And a few animal friend motifs!

The pinkeep drum's companion is a sweet

 little apple fob to adorn your sewing scissors! 

The construction of this apple creates a dipple on

 the bottom...resembling a real apple!

Prim & Proper Pinkeep Club Progress ~

I've been busy in my farm shop studio all day,

between customers I was happy to 

work on the scissor fob model...

I could hardly wait to cut into the lovely

overdyed wools I shared on Friday's blog!

Love the little dimple on the bottom

making it look just like an apple!

The model was stuffed with sawdust.

Now that the little apple fob is complete...

Tonight and Sunday I hope to work on

finishing the main pinkeep...stay tuned!

Busy, Busy, Busy...

Welcome dear needlefolk friends...happy Friday!

There is something so liberating about

Friday, knowing you've worked hard all week,

with the anticipation of a little rest and

time spent with family.

Prim & Proper Pinkeep Club Update...

The stitching is all complete and ready for 

 the finishing of a special "Adam & Eve" pinkeep!

Everything is coming together very nicely...

I love the sound of the big brown UPS truck rolling

into our driveway...bearing packages of overdyed wool!

This pinkeep will have a companion scissor fob

made from these gorgeous overdyed wools.

The red is a lovely Glen Plaid, 

and the green is a wonderful Herring Bone.

The chosen pinkeep fabric will be this

Civil War Reproduction Fabric with its warm

olive drab tones.

A sweet little apple charm will be included in 

each kit as my token of appreciation...all the 

way from the United Kingdom!

Ahhh, Friday at last, casting such

a peacefulness to my cluttered mind!

After a super busy week,

I'll share a little update on the 

new Prim & Proper Pinkeep Club...

The chosen linen for the first kit will be 

Weeks Dye Works 36ct. Beige.

The final critiquing has been made

on the design, I'm ready to cut the linen

and pull the threads...can't wait to start stitching!

I do enjoy putting out a few vintage

rabbits and chicks!

I love how this little fellow is 

guarding his carrot!

My LOVE of PINKEEPS...

Welcome dear needlefolk friends!

I apologize for not posting my usual Friday blog,
 the weather was absolutely gorgeous...sooo
I decided to play hooky!

However,
I've been rejuvenated, inspired,
and now I have something I'm REALLY 
excited about to share with YOU... 

My deep LOVE of PINKEEPS has
been really calling to me, plus I really miss
 offering my Little Sparrow Pinkeep club!

On Saturday, it hit me like a ton of bricks to
offer a new pinkeep club!

While on my birthday get away a few weeks ago,
I purchased these wonderful Civil War 
Reproduction fabrics... 

I'm hoping to incorporate them into 
the new Prim & Proper Pinkeep Club Kits!

I'm overflowing with ideas for this new club...

For embellishments I'll be incorporating overdyed wool, 
overdyed wool thread, and perhaps even some 
vintage fabrics, and vintage hardware!

These kits will also include overdyed linen...

Kits will include either 32/36 count overdyed linens 
depending on the project.

I'll be working on the first club design 
later tonight...I'm over the moon excited 
about getting started!
