Welcome and happy midsummer's day
dear needlefolk friends near & far!
Such a hectic week I've had and happy
that things are finally winding down, thank
goodness for weekends!
Prim & Proper Pinkeep Club Update...
First, I'd like to thank club members for your
patience after falling behind schedule due to my
husband's eye surgery earlier this month!
Second, this club kit has a good amount of
stitching involved and took me longer to
finish than expected!
Would you to like to FINALLY see the finish...

On Sunday I needed a break, so my
family and I walked through our local "Fair"...
The first thing I spied were these two sweet ponies,
which hold a big soft spot in my heart!
This little fellow brought back lots of good childhood
memories for me...looks just like the one I had!
We instantly became friends!
Moving on to the BIG horses...
Caught this lovely draft horse taking
a little rest...eyes are barely open!
Great legs!
Next up was the goat & sheep barn...
Angora Goats...so incredibly soft!
I also have a soft spot for Nubian Goats.
Love their big long ears!
They are very friendly and curious in nature!
Well hello there!
Baa baa black sheep, have you any wool?
Next up was the hog barn...
All the fellows in this barn were sound to sleep!
Probable dreaming about their next meal!
Moving onto the Chicken coop...
Kids get to enjoy seeing little baby chicks hatching!
So cute...love to listen to them chirp!
This Rooster made it very clear to me that
he is king of the roost...just finished crowing!
I think this Rooster is wandering
'is it time to go home yet'?
Last are the little furry friends...
This was the last day of the fair,
and it seems all the animals are exhausted
from all the onlookers!
Definitely anticipating getting to go home!
Good bye until next year little fellow!
Hope you enjoyed walking through
the fair with me...sorry for so many pictures!

A few weeks ago I shared how my summer
has had many unexpected twists and turns, and
that this was the first year EVER that I did
not have ANY time to plant even ONE flower!
But, the Lord
graciously blessed us here on our farm
with our wild meadow of Coneflower...now in full bloom!
After the heavy rains we had last week it
brought such joy to my heart to see this lovely site!
Even the butterflies are enjoying
this midsummer's day!
