~ Christmas Gift Giveaway ~

Hello special friends.   Now it's only

10 days until Christmas....are you ready?

Do you remember the 31" long Christmas stocking
I showed you last Monday?

Here it is with an antique German chalkware sheep,
and some greenery tucked into the top.

It hangs on the entrance door to our kitchen in the
olde farmhouse.

Next to the kitchen door is a little side table that worked
out perfect for one of my small trees.

This little antique German rabbit is keeping its eye open
for a farmhouse Christmas mouse!

I don't know how they get in, but every winter we usually have
a few visitors, which my husband takes care of....thank you Bill :)

This large white rabbit is a candy container, the head lifts off
and the body is hollow so you can fill it with goodies!

On Friday I'll show another one of my small trees.

I'm really happy with how my Christmas
stocking turned out.

As mentioned on Friday I'll be doing a
Christmas gift giveaway drawing this week,
and here is the gift.....

The drawing will be for this antique Luster Ware Shoe pincushion.

This pincushion is nicely detailed with bright colors, the glaze is
brilliant, producing a display of lustrous rainbow like colors.

It still retains the original dark gold velvet pincushion,
which is in good used condition, no tears, some wear, and
loss of nap.

Luster Ware will usually be stamped either Japan or
occupied Japan.  This shoe is marked on the heel Japan.

Luster Ware is from Cira 1920-1947.

Check out this neat old building we passed while on a
Sunday drive....

What caught my eye was the archway over the door
dated....1890!

Sadly, this old building is really run down, but wouldn't
it be awesome all renovated and turned into a
needlework OR antique shop!

Looks like it must have been a gas station years ago.

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves
in modest apparel, with shamefacedness (modesty),
and sobriety (discretion), not with braided
hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
But with good works.  Let the woman learn in
silence with all subjection.
