Hello friends, thanks for stopping by on this
Labor Day break!
It is always nice to have a little break,
but I'm always happy to get back into my
normal routine!

Today, I'll share a sneak peek of Little Sparrow
Pinkeep Club's next release...
Untitled so far...will have to choose from my list of
many possibilities!
The chosen linen is 32ct. Country French ~ Golden Needle.
Also, shown is my little acorn pallet of Autumn threads.
The fabric for the backside of the pinkeep is from
Andover Fabrics by Jo Morton.
I had several setbacks in choosing the right
threads for a tree and leaves that are also in this design!
Hope to reveal on Friday's post...hopefully no more
setbacks!

October's Early American Life magazine
is now available at the newstands.
This is my all time favorite magazine!
In 1999, I was a chosen artist selected by a
jury for Early American Life's ~
Directory of Traditional Craftsmen.
Also, in 1999, one of my chalkware sheep graced the
Blue Room Christmas tree at the White House,
during the Clinton administration.

Warm and cozy days are coming soon!

Belted Freisians
ReplyDeleteI keep hoping to get back to my counted cross stitch. My rugs have taken first place. I have a stack of patterns I thought I would have finished by now. I love this one and can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteI love that picture of those cattle.
The kitten is a cutie too. We will be hot for awhile longer. Lovely photos today.
Hi Tammy~~ I cannot wait for the release!!!! Loving those co,ours and the backing fabric is a all time favorite of mine...... Ahhhh, greens, golds and shades of browns bring on that beautiful autumnal feel..... Great job!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Tammy. I love your cows. We pass Belted Galloways quite often as our local university recently added them to the field directly across from the entrance into our subdivision. I always thought it looked like they were wearing very large leg warmers. Sadly, leg warmers came out a little late to keep my skirted legs warm waiting for the bus in friged MA winter temperatures. I loved MA anyway. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe new release looks to be fabulous Tammy looking forward to seeing and receiving it! Interesting cows....blessings for a great week...
ReplyDeleteOreo cookie cows. That is funny. I am suffering setbacks with color choices on my new project this week also.
ReplyDeleteLooks great, Tammy! Fall is my season....I just love the colors!
ReplyDeleteTammy, do you offer a kit for the little acorn or is it one of your antique treasures? I designed a line of fabric for Andover: theirs is some of the best quality quilting fabric ever made. I have to say that you put together a beautiful package of quality in your kits. Your choice of textile, threads, your graphics, designs and your instructions are top notch. (And I am only seeing them from the blog!) I'm with you, EAL is still the best magazine out there, I still have copies from the 1980's. I actually wrote an article for them many years back on how to make a cornhusk doll. I still have it and may just post it on my blog one day.
ReplyDeleteTammy dear ~ Have tried to order the pink shell rings on your etsy site and it will not go through????
ReplyDeletePlease let me know how I can order them directly from you..
I have every EAL issue from inception and received the 2015 Christmas issue today,....pardon the drool...
Many thanks
Gentiliry
Tammy: Shame on you for the tease, I cannot wait for the arrival of this new kit, love the charms, and your animal photos are aso sweet.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen this magazine and will look for it this week.
Blessings
