Model Reveal..

"Sweet Gatherings" Pinkeep &

 "Heart" Needlekeep Wrist Companion

The chosen linen is Weeks Dye Works 36ct. "Straw.

This wee black squirrely fellow is sitting on the edge of

his basket eating a sweet little berry!

The backside is finished in this lovely

Civil War Reproduction fabric.

To complete this pinkeep set, is a matching

"Heart" Needlekeep Wrist Companion, that

 can be worn on your wrist to rest 

your needle while stitching!

The models are packed firmly with

sawdust, my favorite choice for a nice 

traditional look and feel!

This lovely golden ribbon matches 

really well with the tone of linen and fern leaves 

in the Civil War fabic.

The little "O rings" are one of a kind,

I found these vintage Amber Bakelite rings

while antiquing a few summers ago! 

Club kits are scheduled to ship on 

Tuesday, October 31st.

~ Sneak Peek ~

But first, let me introduce you to the Studio's

newest little squirrely fellow...

Some things are just meant to be...

Several months ago I purchased this fellow

as a "Buy It Now" on Ebay, after a week

had passed it showed that the seller

still had not shipped the item, so

I messaged the seller and to my

horror he replied back that he

could not find the squirrel anywhere 

in his inventory...SAY WHAT!

Sadly, he cancelled my order

and refunded my money!

BUT, out of the blue a couple of weeks ago,

 he emailed and said he found the squirrel...we were

both so happy!

The timing was perfect, 

as this little fellow was truly meant

to be my cover model for this project!

Now, for the sneak peek...

The stitching is all complete,

now for the finishing!

This was my lucky day at the post office...

Club kit "thank you charms" arrived 

from the United Kingdom...Yay!

On Sunday, I found the sweetest little treasure...

"Daily Praise"...only $1.00

This wee little book only measures 2.5"W by 3.5"H

It's filled with a daily scripture verse

 for every day of the year!

It's the same size as another sweet 

book I found this summer,

 titled "Daily Duty"!

Saturday Style...

Wow, all I can say is this has been 

one heck of a week!

Back to Mayo Clinic in Rochester,

sadly my husband's other eye had a major

hemorrhage and is scheduled for

another surgery.

His first surgery did not go well and the 

complications have been so stressful

for him and now this!

I wish I could make it ALL better for him!

In the mean time I have been working on

the model for Prim & Proper Pinkeep Club's 

next project and will be finishing it up

soon!

I'll be sharing a sneak peek on Monday!

Decisions ~ Decisions!

Welcome dear needlefolk friends

and happy weekend ahead!

As promised last week, 

I have an update for the 

Prim & Proper Pinkeep Club...

Decisions, decisions, and this was a tough one,

especially when you have several great fabrics

 in the studio stash to choose from!

I ended up going with my original instints

and chose this gorgeous Civil War Reproduction 

fabric from The Civil War Tribute Collection. 

I had purchased about four yards several years

ago, which is not enough yardage for a club

project, this fabric is no longer available

making by search for more a complete

dead end!

But, when I wasn't even looking, I stumbled upon

a quaint little quilt shop that STILL had some available,

and just the extra yardage I needed!

I'm very excited to finally be using this fabulous

fabric for a special pinkeep!

The chosen linen is Weeks Dye Works 

36ct Straw linen...a perfect match to go with

the Civil War fabric!

I'm working on the pinkeep design and hope to 

start stitching sometime next week...more updates

to follow!

These special one of a kind pottery owls are

made by a friend of ours from Dakota Stoneware

in Bushnell, South Dakota.

All lined up and waiting to greet 

needlefolk friends stopping out to shop

at our Studio Shop located on our

farm on Saturday's from 10~3

Oh the joy of pumpkins...they make me so happy!

Looking at my husbands hand carved 

folky crows reminds me that I forgot to buy

a bag of candy corn...a must have with

Halloween just around the corner!
