to settle down and build their nest!

Studio reflections...
This month I've been busy upgrading my shipping
method to "Stay Flat" rigid envelopes...no more cutting cardboad!
Plus, I've converted to a Thermal Label Printer...no more taping labels!
It's always fun to rearrange some of my favorite things!

I was planning on posting this yesterday (Friday),
this is where my typing ended, when my
husband suggested taking a break
to go buy me a coffee!
Well, little did we know that our life was about
to change in a split second!
My husband had bought my coffee and we
were on our way home, minding our own business
then BAMB...in the blink of an eye we were T~Boned...
My husband was driving and received the full impact!
I'm still trying to process the fact that my sweet
2019 Kia Soul as been totaled! 😔😓😕
The driver of a full sized van ran a stop sign and plowed
right into us!
It smelled like the car was on fire, and my husband kept saying
we have to get out...the smell was actually from the air bags
being deployed!
We were both rushed to emergency,
we both received CT Scans...
My husband has two broken ribs, one is right over his Spleen.
Plus, a very nasty bump on the head, whiplash and sore everywhere!
As for me, I have one fractured rib,
a head concussion, gash on the back on my head, whiplash,
majorly sore everywhere!
So, now the healing begins, but this too shall pass!
I'm thankful my glasses were not broken,
and luckily I was not holding my coffee...it was still
sitting in the cup holder!
I'll do my best to ship club kits as soon as possible,
it may take me an extra week...I'll post an update sometime next week!

Oh no!! How horrible! Yes, grateful things weren't worse...but that's pretty bad still. Hope you both heal quickly and that there aren't any long-term effects. DeleteI am so sorry to hear about your accident. Thankfully your injuries are not more serious. Last summer I was on a motorcycle, stopped at a red light and we were rear ended by an SUV that the police estimate was travelling at 25mph. We are thankful every day that our injuries were minor. It's hard not to think what could have been. I hope you and hubby heal quickly with no lasting effects.

ReplyDeleteOh No! Thank goodness you weren't injured more seriously! Many years ago my husband was t-boned by a motorcycle who was doing 95 through an intersection. His pickup truck was totaled, the drs said that the only reason he had deep bruising was that he was 100lbs overweight, otherwise the force of the impact could have killed him. The motorcyclist was thrown over the cab of the truck, hit his head on the top edge of the truck over the drivers door and broke every bone in his face. Luckily an EMS team was on its way to another call and saw the accident and were able to save his life.
