Hoping that everyone takes a moment
today to reflect upon the meaning of
Good Friday....Behold the Lamb of God!
♦♦♦
Red is the color of the blood that flowed
Down the face of someone who loved us so
He's the perfect man, He's the Lord's own son
He's the Lamb of God, He's the only one
That can give us life, that can make us grow
That can make the love between us flow
Blue is the color of a heart so cold
That will not bend when the story's told
Of the love of God for a sinful race
Of the blood that flowed down Jesus face
That can give us life, that can make us grow
That can keep our hearts from growing cold
Gold is the color of the morning sun
That shines so freely on everyone
It's the sun above that keeps us warm
It's the Son of Love that calms the storm
That can give us life, that can make us grow
That can turn our mornings into gold.
Brown Brown is the color of the autumn leaves
When the winter comes to the barren trees
There is birth, there is death, there is a plan
And there's just one God and there's just one man
That can give us life, that can make us grow
That can make our sins as white as snow.
That can give us life, that can make us grow
That can turn our mornings into gold
That can give us life that can make us grow
That can keep our hearts from growing cold
That can give us life that can make us grow
That can make the love between us flow.

Look at what's back on the farm....
Growing up I always called these little guys Ladybugs,
but they are actually called Asian Lady Beetles.
Living out in the country, if the surrounding farmers plant
fields of soybeans, these innocent looking little beetles
become a farmhouse nightmare!
They love the warm brick on the farmhouse, if
my husband doesn't spray the larvae early they will
literally invade the entire farm!

There is a nearby Eagles nest that I got a couple pictures
of before the leaves fill in....
We've had the pleasure of watching these wonderful Eagles
guard their huge nest, and they are back again this year!
If you look real close you can see just the top part of an Eagle
head (right in the center of the nest).

Check out this magnificent Good Friday Sunrise...
Courtesy of my son Samuel.
I can in~vision three crosses in the background!
Winter has come and is just about gone...soon things will
be springing back to life once again!
Good bye Winter and hello Spring!
~ Weekend Soul Food ~
When I survey the wondrous cross on which the Prince of Glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss and pour contempt on all my pride.
Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast save in the death of Christ, my God;
All the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to His blood.
See, from His head, His hands, His feet sorrow & love flow mingled down.
Did e'er such love & sorrow meet or thorns compose so rich a crown?
Did e'er such love & sorrow meet or thorns compose so rich a crown?
Were the whole realm of nature mine, that were a tribute far too small
love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all.
love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all.
