exclusive handwork kits per year that will reflect these humble four 

legged friends.  

Each kit will be designed to be both practical and unique for the 

passionate hare lover at heart ~♥~

I was so excited to discover a new Studio friend 

outside my window, who was just hanging out while waiting

for news about the new club....

This new friend must be kinfolk to Abby....she doesn't run 

away when I talk to her!

In this first picture I caught her busy washing her face

with a back paw!

But wait till you see this next picture....

What a darling pose!!

Next, she decided to relax while I told her all about the

new Humble Hare Handwork Club!

I asked her to come back and visit often, 

and to tell her friends they are always welcome to 

hang out around my Studio anytime!

Visitors are always welcome...except moths are NOT!

My husband loves to write poetry and today I'm 

going to share one of my favorites....

It's half of who we are, that other people see.

The good and bad inside, dwell there collectively.

We choose the better path by no strength of our own.

But rather by His grace our worthy seeds are sown.

~ Weekend Adventures ~

Hello dear friends near and far!

Wow, I had a great weekend!

I had planned on being a complete home body

this weekend, but it turned out 

completely different!

These little Studio friends would like to show you some

of my road trip handwork...

Whenever we go on a weekend road trip my husband always

drives...so I can stitch!

Here are some little rabbit motifs...

These little fellows will all be finished as pincushions.

Each one will be finished differently and then I will be 

selling them right here on my blog!

They are all stitched on 35 count Weeks Dye Works linen ~

Almond Bar, Havana, and Chestnut.

I'll be stuffing these pincushions with natural Sheep, Llama 

and Alpaca roving.

Makes wonderful pincushions....super soft!

Plus, I'll be adding natural roving to my full line of 

pinkeep fillers in my Etsy Shop...sometime yet in April.

Hope to have them finished up ASAP!

I didn't get as far as I had hoped on these pinkeep boxes...

I have them all painted and ready to antique.

I only have one finished.  

I love woven coverlets, these sweet little pinkeeps

will be covered in a variety of coverlet designs,

and stuffed with natural fiber roving. 

I'll also be offering these original handworks of mine

right here on my blog.  No two will be alike!

Saturday morning I had the pleasure of going to a local 

annual antique show.  

I was so excited to find two beautiful pieces that made their 

way into my heart and came home with me....

I instantly fell in love will this wonderful old lap desk!

I'll be using this perfect size (16" by 9") oak box to store my 

favorite pallet of DMC floss bobbins in.  

It's nice and clean...no bad smells!

And here's my second find....

Wow, what a find...so lovely!

I've always been drawn to "Mission" style oak pieces.

It has a total of 16 spool spindles, 

and four nice clean drawers.

♦♦♦

On Sunday my family and I drove to the Wisconsin Dells area, 

Sam came with and got a few great pictures...

Can you see the wild Turkey?

  Really camouflaged this time of year!

Check out this attention seeker getting gas...

I'm not sure if this motorcycler is trying to look like

a "Viking" or the "Devil"?

He seemed to like all the attention he was getting!

Mary Emmerling's "American Country Gardens"

Hardcover with a total of 79 pages.

Published in 1991.  Can be found on either Ebay or Amazon.

This little book is full of pretty pictures and great ideas for 

Spring decorating.

Never enough birdhouses!  Love the log cabin.

Wonderful old stone shed!

Sweet little herb garden.

More great sheds and birdhouses.

Nice porch sitting area...a must have for outside stitching!

This morning a Woodpecker outside my bedroom window

woke me up early and I couldn't get back to sleep...he 

would not stop pecking!

As I glanced across my bedroom these old Llamas 

caught my eye in the morning sunlight...they

have such a happy look on their face!

Faithful Friend ~ Tool Tray

Hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful

Easter weekend...I sure did!

After spending the morning finishing my new 

release, I'm finally ready to share....

~ "Faithful Friend" Tool Tray ~

©2015 Scattered Seed Samplers

This faithful friend was stitched on 

32 count Weeks Dye Works ~ Confederate Grey, 

using 1 strand of DMC over two linen threads.

To finish this little tool tray I used the original glass

that was in this old tin painted frame.

I'm not in the habit of using the glass, but I'm happy 

with how it turned out.

The only problem I ran into using the glass was 

trying to get a good photo without a reflection...I must have 

taken 50 photos before getting just the right lighting!

 

To turn your sampler into a tool tray you can use any

oval or square frame and simply drill two little

holes on each end to feed the ribbon through. 

 I then added a large 

  bone ring to serve as the handle.

What are your favorite smells of something baking?

I woke up Saturday morning to the smell of 

fresh baked homemade bread...so yummy!

Not only is my husband an early riser, he's  also 

a great cook and baker!

The smell of fresh baked bread always brings back

so many good memories of both my 

Grandmother's who loved to bake bread.

Never enough rabbits...they sure keep my family and I

in stitches!

Our farm is just jumping with joyful rabbits everywhere!

This one looks so happy while eating away at the fresh

spring greens!
