Loving Autumn!

Welcome and happy Friday
dear needlefolk friends!

After spending the entire month of
September cleaning and enjoying lots of quality
me time, all good things must come to an
end...tomorrow is officially my last
day of vacation!

I donated four car loads full of clothes
to our local Salvation closet and
drawers have never been so neat & tidy!

I'm really looking forward to October and spending
lots of quality time back in the studio getting
started on the new project for...

Next week,
I'll be sharing the chosen linen and
Civil War Reproduction fabric for Prim & Proper's
last kit for the year of 2017.

In years past I've been spoiled with an
abundance of free volunteer pumpkins that
grow wild in a big ditch behind our barn,
but not this year...
Instead, I did it the old fashioned way...hand selected
at a local pumpkin farm!

After a few more twisty curvy roads
we came upon some more curious faces...

Weekend Soul Food...

(1)If thou wilt receive my words,
and hide my commandments with thee;
(2)So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom,
and apply thine heart to understanding;
(3)Yea, if thou criest after knowledge,
and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
(4)If thou seekest her as silver,
and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
(5)Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord,
and find the knowledge of God.
(6)For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth
cometh knowledge and understanding.

Itching to Clean!

Welcome and happy Friday
needlefolk friends!

I'm finally back after enjoying
some much needed cleaning time...
My mission for September was to
transform my bedroom into a fitness friendly haven!

By completely rearranging my bedroom,
I was able to add my was in our guest
room and very inconvenient!

Next, was to dump everything out of my
two large armoires, only keeping the clothes that
currently fit...everything else to charity!

This week I'm doing the same with my closet!
I tend to have pack rat tendencies,
I'm loving everything about finally purging
my space...SO LIBERATING!!

Love these new hangers and accessories...
Found this "JOY" brand at my local Target store,
I purged all my old plastic style hangers,
replacing them with nice metal ones!

The flower hanger is for organizing all my scarfs.

The closet is a huge project...hope to finish up next week!

My cleaning time is a great thinking & dreaming
time for my also cluttered mind!

October is just around the corner,
so I've been giving a lot of thought to
Prim & Proper Pinkeep Club's next project.
So far,
I can tell you that the chosen linen will
be Weeks Dye Works 36ct. "Straw",
and a very lovely Civil War fabric
 has been chosen to compliment
 this overdyed linen.

I'll share with you as soon as the linen arrives!

I caught a glimpse of two very
unique trees while out on my walking path...
Check out this dead limb...covered with
Woodpecker holes!

Many of you that follow my blog probably
know by now that I love vines...
The simplicity of this vine wrapping
itself around this tree trunk just makes me happy!

We will re~open next Saturday, Sept. 23rd.

Weekend Soul Food...

The fear of the Lord is the
beginning of knowledge: but fools
despise wisdom and instruction.

Autumn in the Air!

Happy Saturday
dear needlefolk friends!

Can you believe it's already September!
We've been enjoying much cooler days, so cool
that a sweater or hoodie is much needed!

Early Maiden Workbasket Club Update...

Due to Labor Day coming up,
going to the print shop on Friday was
an absolute must!

Kits for "Heart's Content" Armchair Pinpoke
are scheduled to ship on Tuesday, September 5th.

Plans are already in the works for the fourth
kit coming up in November...stay tuned for more details!

Goodbye August 2017...
The last evening sky of August...what will
the days of September bring?

While coming home from a trip to Rochester, Minnesota
I was in awe of this gorgeous semi trailer...
It's hard to believe that I was fast enough to get
my I~phone on, focus and get a pic that
actually turned out!

My son Sam is an absolute pro at being
fast as lightening for quick pics...watching him
must be finally paying off!

Weekend Soul Food...

"While the earth remaineth,
seedtime and harvest,
and cold and heat,
and summer and winter,
and day and night shall not cease."

Genesis 8:22...kjv

Sorry for the short post,
but I've got my hands full this weekend
if I'm going to get club kits out by Tuesday!

Enjoy a safe and happy holiday weekend!
