The Sheepish Needle Samplar Club Update...
The FINAL kit for this club is shipping out in
Friday and Saturday's mail.

Every so often I've been blessed to be in the
right place at the right time...I like to call it fate!

When my mother passed away back in 2007,
things were complicated having two stepbrothers
and sadly things aren't always handled fairly!

Sunday, after an odd turn of events,
led my family and I to stop at a small local
antique shop that we have not visited for
years!

Right as you walk into the shop standing in
the foyer was my mother's antique curved glass
cabinet...oh how I gasped!

I'm sure it is hers because of several distinctive marks
that I remember very well!

She would be so happy knowing it made its way
back to me!

Once I have it set up and filled up...I'll share it with you!

~*~

Look what I found laying in our driveway...
The egg is completely empty...hope the
little Robin is safe and sound!

I also found one of my Mourning Dove's
enjoying a quiet morning drink...
Right on the edge of our pond...love the reflection on the water!

Here on the farm things are really taking off...
Vines that cover the lower half of our
big old barn!

I know it's not good for the brick...
But, I can't resist the lovely look of creeping vines!

We have several different Lilac bushes...
This deep dark purple one is my all time
favorite...by next week it should be in full bloom!

Then there is my mammoth sized bush...
I had to stand back really far to try and get it all in the
picture...and still couldn't get all of it!

Close up the blossoms are starting to pop open!
 Love the soft sweet fragrance!

This past week we've had some cold rainy days...
 My husband was in the
right place at the right time...a double rainbow!

Good morning dear friends...are you ready
for the start of a great weekend?

For years I've loved to stitch in the evenings while my
husband nodds off on the couch, but I have a bad
habit of clanking my scissors down on the table beside me...
very annoying if you're nodding in and out of sleep!

I'm happy to say I've solved my problem...
Plus, my husband loves my newest design ~

"Rest in the Lord" Scissor Mat

Now, with my special little scissor mat on
my stitching table...no more clanking my scissors!
Happy husband & happy stitching!

Model stitched on 36ct Edinburgh "Summer Khaki" linen.
Kit also includes a charted alphabet & numbers for personalizing
your scissor mat.

I really love the cotton fabric used on the backside...
The Sheepish Needle Samplar Club kits
are scheduled to ship by April 30th.

Every year little birds fly into my husband big workshop,
but can't find their way out...
This little fellow got a helping hand from my husband,
but first they stopped in for a quick Studio visit
before being set free!

~*~

Look what I discovered...
Such a pretty site!

It's such fun watching mama & papa Robin
tending their humble little nest!

~*~

Popping up to welcome spring...
Pretty, delicate little flowers!

Growing at lightening speed...
Vintage Peony bushes...soon to show their colorful side!

Sheepish Needle Sneak Peek...

Welcome dear friends...hip hip hooray it's Friday!

Today is April 15th, typically income tax day...
this year they are not due until Monday the 18th!

The weather man is forecasting a
gorgeous weekend ahead!

~.~.~

Sharing with you today is a little sneak peak of
the fourth kit for The Sheepish Needle Samplar Club...
Just started stitching Thursday evening with a stitch
filled weekend ahead!

Model is being stitched on
36ct Edinburgh "Summer Khaki" linen.

I love the finishing fabric that will be used...
Hope to have a finished model to share
by early next week.

The scheduled ship date for this club kit is...
April 30th.

~.~.~

I'm still working on my "Library" project...
I didn't have much time to work on it this week,
with too many other commitments!

I need my son to help me move a heavy cabinet...then I'll
be able to finish things up and share some photos!

~.~.~

I'm slowly getting a few projects checked off
my spring cleaning list...little by little!

How is your spring cleaning going?

~.~.~

With so many commitments on my platter,
I need to rearrange my work schedule a little bit...

The Early Workbasket which was featured
every Friday, will now be featured...

~ The First Friday of the Month Only ~

So the next scheduled feature will be ~

Friday, May 6th!

~.~.~

The country side is getting greener with each passing day...
Spring is definitely in the air!

The hills are alive once again...
The trees are budding,
and with the warm weather ahead
will quickly transform the country side
even more!

I'm highly anticipating hitting my favorite walking trails...
I don't like walking outside during the winter months,
and the treadmill becomes so boring!

~.~.~

Weekend Soul Food...

along life's way!
