~ Welcome Mary Mustardseed ~

Welcome dear friends.

My feathered Studio friends have all gathered
together to help me introduce my
new release today!

Scattered Seed
I Sow For Thee
Oh Gather Birds
& Sing For Me

Original verse by

First we want to tell you about Tammy's Grandmother....

This is Tammy's Grandmother when she was a young girl...

Lovingly, Mary May Robbins

Tammy is always telling wonderful stories of spending lots of
time on her grandmother's farm, and all of her fondest
childhood memories were working side by side
with grandma.

They spent lots of time outside gardening, feeding the birds,
ducks, and chickens....always scattering seeds of

Love
Joy
Peace
Patience
Kindness
Goodness
Faithfulness
Gentleness
& Self Control

This is why the boss chose the name

Scattered Seed Samplers

....and her emblem lady is in memory of her Grandmother,
which she has named

Mary Mustardseed

Finally, lets please introduce the new sampler.....

Model was stitched on 32ct. Belfast Linen ~ Heritage

Overdyed threads were used on the model,
and the DMC alternatives are also provided on the pattern.

Next year I hope to start a pattern series after Mary Mustardseed.

Mary Mustardseed is now available in my Etsy shop

www.etsy.com/shop/scatteredseedsampler

Hope you like the new sampler?

Do you also have fond memories of leaning to sew from your
Grandmother?

Look at what was waiting for me at the post office....

~ Gentle Art ~
Overdyed Threads!!!

I had such fun organizing all the beautiful threads
onto the large rings :)

I'm all set to include ~

 Classic Colorworks (CC)
Gentle Art (GA)
Weeks Dye Works (WDW)

Overdyed threads into designing my line of patterns,
and I'll always include the DMC alternatives :)

While I was sowing seed to the birds this morning, I happened
to notice several different bird nests in my Lilac bush....

They're so easy to spot now that all the leaves are gone!

On Monday I'll share with you what I save during the
Winter months to share with my feathered friends in the Spring.

*******

I'll also share on Monday some news for my next
sampler.

*******

I started this post talking about my
Grandmother Mary May, but there was also a second
very special Mary in my life, and that was my
mother who was named after my Grandmother.

My mother as a young girl.....Mary Cynthia.

This Sunday, December 7th not only marks Pearl Harbor Day,
but also marks the passing of my dear mother seven
years ago in 2007.

~ Weekend Soul Food ~

Sow to yourselves in righteousness,
reap in mercy;
break up your fallow ground:
for it is time to seek the Lord,
till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

Hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend,
and sow seeds of kindness in
your corner of the world!

  1. She's wonderful and looking forward to her series. My father passed on 12-05-2007--I miss him and there are many small (and big) things which make me think of him
