Welcome dear friends!
Alas, the chapter to January is closed,
and we can now turn the page...
This morning I woke to the sweet sound of my
country Mourning Dove's cooing their hearts out ~♥~
Today, the sun is shining brightly, sounds of melting snow,
birds singing happily, then...my husband informed me
a blizzard is headed our way for tomorrow!
But, I won't let that get me down,
I'll just think more happy thoughts...
The first thing that came to mind was a special
little Valentine's Day gift drawing...
Here is the chosen gift...
The winning name will receive ~
* one antique porcelain scissor stand
* one pair of white Storklettes 2.5" scissors
The antique porcelain scissor stand comes directly from
our old fence lines here on our farm.
To enter YOUR name in the drawing simply leave a
comment telling me what YOU like most about SPRING
either at the bottom of this post OR
through my Facebook page...
PLEASE INCLUDE ~
* first name, first letter to last name, city & state

Studio News...
This week I'll be designing
Humble Hare Handwork Club's
fourth pattern.
Hope to start stitching this weekend!
~*~
Look who was waiting for me on the
back porch this morning...
Patiently waiting for the daily seed to arrive...where is she?
As I was about to open the back door...
Her little head turned to look right at me!
Well hello and good morning...
Happy day to you!
She's so smart and knows exactly what's in that
big old green rusty barrel...
I couldn't ask for a better helper!

Weekly Soul Food...
Remove far from me vanity and lies;
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with food convenient for me:
Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the Lord?
or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
Proverbs 30:8~9...KJV

Blessings to you my friends for a full
and productive week in your sewing corner!
Kindly, Tammy
February's first sunrise over our farm this morning...

ReplyDeleteWhat I love about Spring the most is the scent of the soil. Just hold it in my hand and smell - such earthy freshness and so full of promise.
ReplyDeleteThe earth begins its cycle of renewal once again and I am once again, filled with wonder and gratitude to GOD for His gift.

What I like most about spring(May if we're lucky) is packing away the Cuddle Duds and wool socks, boots, gloves, wool hats, scarves...SO much less clutter in the summer! Cute little bird. What kind is it? Krissy B.
ReplyDeleteI always look for the birds to return and those first shoots of plants No more snow heavy outerwear and being able to throw those windows open Thank you for the giveaway

The bright green sprouts on the trees, daffodils, the birds singing and picking up my left over threads for their nest and pussy willows!

Here in Nova Scotia Spring is a illusive creature. I look for any day that has bird song and maybe a little warmth. That's enough for me!
ReplyDeleteI love all the seasons. Spring brings new growth and the promise of renewed life. Karen L. Elliottsburg PA

What a sweet helper. And and excellent proverb today.
ReplyDeleteI love looking for the first bits of green poking through the soil.

The return of the robins, the flowering dogwoods, going barefoot, trips to the garden center, the hope of things to come--these are all things I love about spring.
ReplyDeleteFor me, it is that first elusive haze of green on bare trees. That's all it is - a faint haze - but it brings such promise. Xxx
ReplyDeleteI love the arrival of the first robin...filling the house with tulips, daffodils, and pussy willows...ah, SPRING!

Ooooh, it's so hard to pinpoint just one thing I love most about spring! But if I have to - it's the singing birds who seem just as happy as I that the promise of better weather is just around the corner. I also love the frogs croaking in our pond, swinging once again on the swing my husband hung in our maple tree, the bright green spikes of March flowers (daffodils to some folks) boring up from the earth, the longer days, the budding trees, the sprightlier gait of our porch cats - see I told you! It's just so very hard to stop saying what I love about spring.

I'm looking forward to more daylight, more green and sandals.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable little bird helper. And that sunrises-Wow. Spring is our best season in Phoenix. We can sit outside and eat, read, stitch, paint.
ReplyDeleteI love the spring because that means that summer is right behind and I can sit on my porch and knit, work on scrapbooking and the many, many counted cross stich patterns, traditional rug hooking, etc. items that I have started. Would love to win something from you, I think you are amazing. Thanks for a chance. Kimberly A. Budash, Johnstown, PA
ReplyDeleteTammy: I love your little helper, I love birds and feed them all winter, you take such lovely pictures.
ReplyDeleteI would like to be entered into your drawing, thank-you for a chance at winning the scissor and holder.
My favorite thing about spring is the fresh smell in the air, the colors that God so kindly gave us to enjoy and the warm breeze that replaces the cold air in winter and of course the singing of the birds
It is snowing here today it is coming your way.

The birds singing, flowers blooming. warm weather. I would love to be entered in the drawing. Christie G. Carthage, NC
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of spring is when I get to open the windows and allow the fresh air into our home. Even though it isn't quite spring yet, today was warm enough to open the house for a few hours. We have a six month old kitten that is not allowed outside. He was running from window to window searching for the birds he could hear chirping outside. His little nose never stopped twitching as he took in all of the smells coming in from the fields. Donna W. Greeneville, TN.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh, Spring, the smell of freshly tilled dirt, tulips sprouting, trees beginning to bud, birds gathering bits for their nests, and calves frolicking in the pastures...an overall feeling of renewal and optimism. Off on a quilt/needlework shop hop! Thanks for the chance...
