"Come Dance With Me"...

Welcome dear friends, wow the weekend
disappeared way too quickly!

Saturday, was spent fabric shopping with great
success finding just the perfect fabric for
the Little Sparrow Pinkeep release!

Sunday, the entire day was spent first making
a prototype, then moving on to finish the actual model,
finished sewing the final ribbon on at 11:30 p.m.

Today, I can share the end results with you...
Titled "Come Dance With Me" Pinkeep
©2016 Scattered Seed Samplers, Tammy Black

I love Springtime and especially watching the birds
doing their mating dances and choosing just the
right mate to nest with!

Hope you'll like the fabric I chose for the backing...
It has nice matching colors, dark mocha brown,
antique golden leaves, coppery~red flowers...what do you think?

Embellished with antique gold ribbon...
Packed firmly with sawdust,
with a finished size of 6"H by 5"W,
aged with Walnut stain.

Little Sparrow Pinkeep Club Memberships
for 2016 are available through my Etsy Shop.

Can be purchased as a one time payment through Etsy
OR quarterly installment plan is available,
all the details are in the listing...

Martha Howells 1849...Coming Soon!

I finally decided to have a custom frame made
for my first Antique Reproduction Samplar.

It will take 1~2 weeks before my frame is finished,
then I'll do the actual framing, a photo shoot, print shop,
and finally it will be released...I can hardly wait!

I'm the kind of person who needs my full eight hours of
beauty rest, unlike my better half who only needs
5~6 hours of sleep!

So, early one morning while I was still in bed,
he was out taking pictures for me...
After a thick early morning fog lifted, the misty frost
gave such an enchanting appearance!

This is the view from our front porch which faces the highway...
..can you see the old swing that hangs
from our big Linden Tree?

A little closer look...
The branches of a Linden tree grow downward
instead of upward like other trees!

Suet feeders are getting low...
The woodpeckers LOVE hanging on the suet feeders!

Love the frosty look of my pottery crow...
Keeping an ever watchful eye on things!

Perched on an old fence post...
Made by our potter friend Dave Huebner,
of Dakota Stoneware.

My mother's old little windmill...
The birds love perching on it!

Love, love, love my big old terra cotta frog...
Sitting on an old ice cream parlor chair that belonged
to my grandmother.

Weekly Soul Food...

Behold the fowls of the air:
for they sow not, neither do they reap,
nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly
Father feedeth them.  Are ye not much
better than they?

  8. Tammy, your grandmother looks like one of the silent movie stars, Mary Pickford. You are so lucky to have her embroidery frame! LOVE the new Little Sparrow Pinkeep, and very happy that you are using a smaller count linen for it. Patiently awaiting the release of your reproduction sampler..... :-)
