~ Gratitude and New Ideas ~

Words can't express my sincere gratitude
for the wonderful response I've
received since releasing my newest pattern
last Friday, Bittersweet Gatherings Pinkeep Drum!

Thank you very kindly for ALL the lovely comments both
here on my blog and on Primitive Stitchers Society!

With lots of new ideas in my head...I can hardly wait
to get started on my next design!

**********

Simple little sewing treasures bring such joy to the hearts of
those filled with passion to work with their
hands, here are some simple treasures....

~ Little old emery cushions ~

My heart just melts when I find these at a flea market or
antique shop.

~ This one still has its original tag attached ~

Emery cushions are meant to keep your needle
sharp & clean.....they are not designed to be used as pincushions.

The traditional tomato pincushions were designed to accommodate
both, the tomato is the pincushion and the little strawberry
attached to the top is filled with emery just
for your needles.

This is in such wonderful condition for its age, with
very little fading on the satin.

These next pictures are of a very unique bird that many
people may not see, depending on where
you live.....

~ Sandhill Cranes ~

While walking out to my Studio I noticed something out
running through our newly cut hay fields, the
closer I got I realized that they were cranes.

I wasn't sure how close they would let me get...so I was literally
speed walking through the field to try and get closer.

They make the most
incredible noise and when they are flying
overhead they look like prehistoric creatures!

I'm surprised they didn't fly off, but they were quickly
making their way to the fence line, so I decided
to leave them alone.

That same night the moon was just awesome....

My camera doesn't take very good night pictures, but
I like the way the moon was captured right between
the pine tree limbs!

************

The belt on our riding lawn mower broke, but luckily I
have many eager little volunteer's happy to help.....

I'm having a hard time trying to decide where to put this
last garden rabbit, so its still sitting on this
concrete slab.

It's so cute the way my little rabbit friends
 like to sit there too!

I've had a busy weekend filling orders....

Processing everyone's order promptly is my top priority!

I must get to the post office before it closes!

************

I love summer time when all the trees are so green, and
the thick vines wrap around the telephone
poles....this horse farm is just about a mile from
my house.

~ Weekly Soul Food ~

I am the vine, ye are the branches:
He that abideth in me, and I in him, the
same bringeth forth much fruit:
for without me ye can do nothing....John 15:5 ~ KJV

Whenever I see telephone poles with vines, this
verse always comes to mind.

Have a lovely week, and I will post
again on Friday.

Farmhouse Blessings to all,
~ Kindly, Tammy ~

  2. Hi Tammy,

I just want to tell you how pleased I am with the cat scissors and Bittersweet Gatherings Pinkeep Drum pattern!! I can't believe how fast I received them both. Can't wait to get started stitching on the pinkeep drum for a friend. Also, your thought for the week was just so timely. Dear friends of ours lost their house to a lightning strike on this past Tuesday...everything lost, no one hurt, Thank the Lord. I'm going to send your verse to them in hopes that it will give them some solace as they face many hard days ahead.

Thanks again...I'll be ordering more soon!!
