Acorn Pinkeep Gift Giveaway ~

Hello friends, hope all is well in your
corner of the world!

Ahh, wonderful weekends!
Sunday's are my favorite day of the week...so peaceful!

Yesterday, I started charting a "Secret Sampler" that will
be worked on....only on Sundays!

I'll share little tid bits until I'm ready to release it.

The stitch count will be 192W by 209H,
and the model will be stitched on 36 count linen.

Would you like to win one of my handmade acorns?

This Acorn pinkeep is firmly packed with sawdust,
embellished with a real acorn cap,
and measures approximately 1"W by 1.5"H.

This giveaway includes exactly what you see in the photo;

 Cluster of Bittersweet Berries,
Acorn and vintage stick pin

To enter your name in this drawing simply leave me
a comment telling me;

"What your favorite day of the week is?"

You can leave a comment at the end of this post OR
on my facebook page (located on the sidebar) OR
 by emailing me at scatteredseedsamplers@gmail.com

The winning name will be announced on Friday's post.

Saturday was spent stitching on the soon to be released
model for "The Sheepish Needle" Samplar Club...

Kits will include two of these small pearl shell rings...hope to
reveal the finished model on Monday, October 12th.

Look at these wonderful Morning Glories I passed while on
one of my walks to the post office...

I've always wanted to plant some Morning Glories but
time always seems to get away from me!

While at my local print shop these
beauties were just screaming to have their
picture taken...

These are growing in the alley right behind the print shop!

I decided to get a closer look...

Aren't they fascinating, but wait till you see the
busy bees working hard...

First, they tunnel their whole body down into the
center....

Then they start backing their little "bee butts" back out and
onto the next flower!

I love pulling over whenever I see a
great old barn...

What a dandy...love the old stone foundation!

This awesome barn is only a couple of miles from our
farm on a twisty turny country road.

Surrounded by corn fields.

Nice old sliding door with neat looking vents above it.

I just love old building and barns...how about you?

My needle and thread are calling my name...I'm off
to start stitching a special sheep on my sampler!

Will share another progress update on Friday.

Until Friday, busy hands make happy hearts!

My favorite day of the week is every day that the good Lord has seen fit to allow me to awaken and enjoy life and all his blessings. If I were still working I'd probably say Saturday - lol.

  11. My favorite day of the week is Sunday! The acorn is exquisite!!!! You know how my heart sings for acorns, squirrels and ravens. As a child I would gather up acorns and stuff my pockets full of them, As strange as it may sound, when we went to the cemetery to visit my grandfather I would take those acorns and decorate his headstone with them. I never met him but I wanted to do something nice for him. And the bittersweet.......glorious. I will consider myself very blessed should I be able to make a home for this lovely piece!

  13. OMGosh ... Everyday is wonderful as I am thankful for the blessings that keep on coming. Must say Sunday is BEST of ALL, as it brings me and my family closer together than the often hectic days of the week.
I love acorns and have a good selection of them that we gathered as they fell from the majestic Oak Tree growing in our backyard while living in VT.
Love your Blog ... Peace to all as always, Barb

  18. Whatever day it is ... that's my favorite. I try to live each day as our Lord told us too. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is it's own trouble. Matthew 6:34 The acorn is delightful. My fingers are crossed. :~)

  32. I love your blog! Thank you for the cute acorn giveaway! My favorite day of the week is Sunday -- we always get to worship God with our faith community. Four months out of the year I get to teach my precious 3 to 5 year olds in Sunday School. Every Sunday we have some or all of our grown kids and little grandkids together for "family lunch" - either we eat out or have a cookout in our backyard or settle around the table in our teeny little downsized cottage. And once a month on Sunday afternoons I get together with my closest friends to quilt and celebrate whoever's birth month it happens to be. I work full time as a secretary Monday through Friday and keep busy with volunteer work ALL the time; but those Sundays are just precious to me.

  43. Well fiddle dee dee, Of course I would love to win your acorn, acorns are my favorite things. My favorite day of the week is Friday, because our country road is SO quiet on the weekends without everyone driving back and forth to work. I am home all week, and I really love the peacefulness of the weekend.

  44. I would love to win your acorn! My favorite day of the week, hmm...Thursday. Why? Because it's the day before Friday, I begin to breathe and can see the light at the end of the tunnel. As a 4-10 hour days worker, I call Thursday 'Friday-eve'!

I love old buildings and barns too. The Morning Glories are impressive! We have some here iin my yard in Arizona but they only come out when we're in the middle of our Monsoon. Too dry otherwise! Thanks for the giveaway :)
