Farmhouse Cleaning ~

Welcome dear needlefolk friends ~
I must say this feels really good to sit down
and do my blog...I'm totally exhausted
after a busy and strenuous week!

Yes, I feel like I've been run over by a
steam roller...every muscle in my body aches!

I'm getting ready for a "Antique Yard Sale",
so all week was spent hauling and gathering
goodies to my staging area!

I've gone through the barn, Studio, basement...I'm
still gathering from the farmhouse!

So much work, BUT...
A good clean out is so liberating...being set free from
clutter is always a good thing!

The only down side to this past week is that my
bee sampler design has been put on hold!

Beekeeping at its finest...
Aren't these old bee skep hutches
outstanding & breathtaking all at the same time!
(location unknown...looks European)

My favorite stitching chair is
definitely calling my name...
A close up of the old needlepoint pillow that
keeps me comfy in my stitching chair!

A new family of country cottontails has
discovered the luscious clovers growing around
my husbands workshop...
Very friendly just like my sweet Abby was a
couple of years ago...maybe they are her kinfolk!

They seem to think this is their own private path...
Every evening they can be found grazing on
the narrow path!

They also love to hide under my son Sam's car...
My whole family loves these friendly little fellows!

Our Purple Coneflower is in full bloom...
These are growing wild on the hillside by our pond.

Every year our farm is graced with
lots of Queen Ann's Lace...
Looks so delicate and pretty blowing
in the summer breeze!

It's hard to believe this is already the
middle of July...
The seasons just come and go so quickly!

Captured this wonderful old
barn in the early morning light...
I just can't resist pulling over to take pics
of such humble old structures!

Weekend Soul Food...

Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory, for ever. Amen

The Lord's Prayer ~
Matthew 6:9~13...KJV

For if ye forgive men their trespasses,
your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

But if ye forgive not men their trespasses,
neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Matthew 6:14~15...KJV

Well, it's time for me to go gather more
goodies for my sale!

Not sure which weekend I'll actually
have my sale...all revolves around the weatherman!

Take care, Tammy

  3. Looks like some great goodies for your sale.
The Bunnies are so cute, and your flowers are too.
    Love Coneflowers!

  4. Love everything about your blog this week Tammy; very sweet. I bet those bunnies are Abby's granddaughters. Take care, don't work too hard. Remember to leave time to stitch.

  5. Your Blog has comforted me in so many ways. Keeping away from the 'news' is becoming a NO NO. We have cotton tails as well as Jack rabbits...I love them all. Love the Queen Ann's Lace...wished I could grow them here...They do not like the desert. Have some luck with cream colored 'Cone flowers'...they seem to do OK in the hot 'n dry climate here. Me too, gots to get to some stitching so I will see you next time.

    God Bless America
    Peace for ALL,
    Barb
