~ Hot Off The Press.....Harvest Hares Pinkeep ~

Hello dear friends and needleworkers.

I'm so happy to release my newest pattern today,
hot off the press from the print shop.....

~ Harvest Hares Pinkeep ©2014 Scattered Seed Samplers ~

These busy little hares are harvesting carrots!
This new pattern is now available in my Etsy Shoppe.

While outside photographing the model next to my bee skeps,
my little rabbit friend gave me her paws up on my new
pattern....

I think this is her BEST pose so far!
She definitely has her one little paw up and even looks
like she's smiling :)

Hope you too will like 'Harvest Hares Pinkeep'?

Several weeks ago I featured a pair of Polish folkart needlecases,
look at what I found to go with them.....

I was so excited when I found this old pin box that matches
my needlecases....what a great set!

This little box looks like it was very well used and loved over the years,
but I think it really adds to the folkart character.

The inside of the lid is marked Poland just like my little
needlecases.

So sweet, I really like it!

La Crosse, Wisconsin is a beautiful Mississippi River town....

This Eagle monument sits at the entrance to La Crosse's
Riverside Park.  It stands approximately 40 feet tall,
and is completely steel welded by a very talented local artist.

This is a 150 year old park
that overlooks the Mississippi River and bluffs.  It is also the home to 100's of Bald Eagles.

There is also another outstanding Indian monument located
in this same park....

This Indian was made by the same local artist as the Eagle
about 50 years ago.  It is made of stone and concrete.

Indian legend says; that where three rivers meet there will never
be a tornado, this landmark represents where the
Mississippi River, La Crosse River and Black River meet.....true
to legend La Crosse, Wisconsin has NEVER had a tornado EVER!

Riverside Park has wonderful sidewalks overlooking the
Mississippi River, and the bridges that connect Wisconsin to
Minnesota....

Usually these park benches are full, and lots of time there will
be live music by local artist.

Also, scattered throughout the City of La Crosse are these
Blue Heron statues....

This one sits outside of the 'Pump House' Fine Arts Center....it
even has a little face mask on!   No two are alike.

While on our Sunday drive I got some pictures of different
wildflowers....

I think this is Rudbeckia....Black-Eyed Susan.

This is Bergamot or Bee Balm a wildflower in the mint family.

I'm not sure about this wildflower?

I was so happy to finally get a good picture of a butterfly....

I have no idea what kind of butterfly this is?

Our weekend ended with a beautiful sunset....

Over the weekend I drew a sketch of what will be my next
pattern.....for Halloween!

I'm very excited to get this new project going!
