~ Favorite Sewing Tools ~

Hope everyone had a very
restful weekend.  I'm looking forward
to this new week with fresh
ideas to share with you!

I would like to start by sharing with you, my new idea
for using antique porcelain fence insulators as a
sweet little scissor stand to hold these
lovely square handled scissors.

~ Exclusively from Scattered Seed Samplers ~

These old fence insulators date back to the early 1920's ~ 1930's,
no two are alike as each one has its own character marks from its weathered
life outside on a fence post for many years.

~ Little square handled lace scissors ~

Quantities are limited as these come from our old farm fields
here in West Salem, Wisconsin.

The porcelain scissor stand measures 1.5" tall by 1.25" in diameter.
The little scissors are 2.75" tall.  These scissors are new,
and very sharp, I love the detailed handles that
look like lace!

~ So feminine & sweet ~

If you'd like to treat yourself to a one of a kind special sewing gift, that
is a piece of the past and will make for a great
conversation piece....I have these & others available

~ Stamped USA ~

Please click onto the link for my Etsy Shoppe OR
your can purchase them directly from me
if you don't have an Etsy account.
~ Scissors fit through the center hole ~

I'm always happy to accept
check, money order, PayPal, or credit card.

You will receive the antique porcelain stand with the little scissors.

Please note:  If you're interested in just the stand or just the
scissors, please let me know ~ as I also sell them separately.

Most small sewing scissors up to 4" fit perfectly.  Also, the
grooves that the barbed wire wrapped around would
be perfect to wind some of your special cotton or
silk thread around :)

~ Jehanne d' Arc Antique Sampler ~

Here is the very first antique sampler I purchased
many, many years ago....I wish you
could see it in person!

~ So full of SERENITY ~

The story of Joan of Arc is SO inspiring!  The movie brought
tears to my eyes!

If you're not familiar with Joan of Arc you could check it out
through Google or even better "Rent the Movie".

~ Sampler by Carriage House Samplings I stitched in 2008 ~

I enjoyed stitching this sampler because it was so
full of  things that I love,
the black dog, of coarse the rabbit,
the lamb, birds, and
spring grass.

I hope you've enjoyed our visit today.
Please send me any ideas or suggestions on how I'm doing,
OR if there is something you don't like....you're
comments & suggestions are what
I need to make this a fun spot for you to visit
on a regular basis.

Until tomorrow....take care
~ Kindly, Tammy ~
